Great Talent CAN Be a Great Business
So often, talented creatives venture out to make a career out of their gifts, and all-too-often those careers fail or turn into a grind. This course walks through how to properly structure your business to allow you to create on your own terms and protect yourself legally, financially, and creatively from burn out.
This Course Means Business
This course doesn't cover HOW to do graphic design or video editing. It doesn't walk through software tutorials, camera configurations, or best settings for filming on your phone.
This course is about:
- Getting your company setup legally to protect yourself and your work.
- Finding potential clients and converting them.
- Doing work in a way that avoids burn out and makes sales easier.
- Building and growing without losing what makes you special.
Get Your Budget Right
Tracking expenses, invoicing clients, collecting funds, and making a profit can be easy if approached properly.
Talk to Clients Right
"Selling" is often not a strength for many creatives. Managing relationships, expectations, and communication is paramount to having happy clients. Even great work can disappoint an ill-informed client.
Do The Work Right
Turning your creativity into clients isn't always straightforward. Properly anticipating next steps, obstacles, and relationships is essential.
